Why Use a Mobile Notary?

Although notaries can be found at UPS Stores and Financial Institutions, there are several advantages to using a mobile notary. First, there is no guarantee that a notary is available at a bank or UPS store. Second, they are not authorized to notarize all documents. In fact, they can be very limited. And finally, they are not always conveniently located. A Mesa mobile notary will come to you on your schedule and have the ability to notarize a range of documents and types.

Mesa Mobile Notaries Availability

Availability can be an issue with traditional sources for notarization such as UPS Stores. Employees, including notaries, can be unpredictable and unavailable when you need them. If an employee is sick or out to lunch there may not be a notary filling in to replace them.

Variety of Documents and Notarization Types

Limitation of services is another issue, common in banks. They are happy to notarize a vehicle title transfer at ‘no cost to members’. However, they have limited their notary services due to their lack of profit from the service. They are not interested in notarizing Wills, Trusts, or Power of Attorney documents. AZ Docs notarizes all types of certificates in Arizona including the most common: acknowledgments, jurats, and copy certifications.

Scheduling Flexibility for Signing

Convenience is the major benefit of working with a mobile notary. With mobile notaries you can schedule a time and place to meet, a home or business is best. So you don’t have to worry if there is a notary nearby, they come to you. While there is a travel fee, the actual notarization fees are similar to traditional notaries.

Remote Online Notarization

As of July 1, 2020, the state of Arizona introduced remote electronic notarization (RON). This was created as a convenience for those in need of a notary authorization. However, there are technical requirements that limit this option for many people. We are currently not supporting RON.

Most notaries also have Error and Omission Insurance policies and verified background checks, however, they are also not required.

There are a number of online resources for finding notaries. While a Google search might yield the results you are looking for there are also notary directories. The benefit of a notary directory is that you can filter results to include “certifications”, “background screening” and “insurance”.
